The mission of the Career Opportunities committee is to assist businesses to hire qualified HR professionals by publicizing HR positions, to inform HR professionals of current job openings in their field and to help HR professionals develop effective job search strategies. The Career Opportunities committee provides community service by assisting with events and activities to facilitate employment opportunities for individuals in the community at large.
Key Responsibilities:
- Publicizing HR positions at HRAM meetings and through other avenues.
- Soliciting job leads from local companies.
- Serving as a resource to HRAM members seeking employment opportunities by providing Career Transition Workshops.
- Support HR Professionals on staying up to date with the latest in resume reviewing trends by providing a Resume Critiquing Workshop.
- Volunteering to assist with events for job seekers in the community at large.
Committee Goals:
- Increase the number of job listings in all categories.
- Participate in new member orientation
- Participate in the resume critique workshop/HRAM job fair.
- Support resume posting service.
- Hold two career transition events during the year.
